Keyboard shortcuts

Mod means Command on macOS and Ctrl on Linux and Windows. All bindings can be changed in the Keybindings settings.

Mod + Left / Right Open focused directory in the left / right pane
Mod + . Copy the active pane’s path to the other pane
Mod + U Swap the panes, including their selection and history
Mod + P Hot Paths
Mod + B Add bookmark
Mod + Shift + L Select or mount a filesystem
Shift + drive letter Open that drive when a Windows filesystem is mounted

The arrow keys, Page Up, Page Down, Home, and End move the file-list cursor.

Select Same Extension has no default shortcut. Pattern-selection defaults are numeric-keypad keys; assign alternatives in Settings for keyboards without a numeric keypad.

Refresh File List is unbound by default. Run it from the Command Palette or assign a binding in Settings.

Viewer and editor commands appear in the Keybindings tab and can be rebound. A viewer command only runs in modes that implement it. Escape, arrow-key panning and scrolling, and other fundamental navigation keys are not rebindable.
